Artist's notes on Kodiak:

I could have gone either way but the gag was a wink and a nudge by the bear that he's a photographer who ends up taking pics of his victims.  I thought it makes him more devious, more wicked that way.  He actually thinks to pose his victims and take a pic.  That's pretty cold-blood serial killer like.

I thought if he was pissed-off looking it might look more like the bear ended up with the hat and camera almost by accident in a tussle of something.  Just wanted to up the bear's smarts.
